Local residents will have noticed that Sale has been transformed into a more vibrant, colourful town this summer thanks to the hard work of local volunteers and sponsors behind the 'Sale in Bloom' initiative.

One of the initiative's major supporters is local leading law firm Slater Heelis, which has recently been presented with a sponsorship plaque for its support of the project.

Zara Banday, partner and head of residential property at Slater Heelis, accepted the plaque on behalf of the firm during a visit to School Road, one of the areas now flourishing with greenery and vibrant displays. Zara praised the project for bringing joy to both residents and employees who live and work in the town.

"We were delighted to sponsor Sale in Bloom. It’s been wonderful to see the town come to life with colour, and it’s brought smiles to so many faces, including our own team," she said.

"The initiative demonstrated incredible community spirit, and we’re proud to be part of it."

The Sale in Bloom initiative, spearheaded by Tony Martin, general manager of Stanley Square and Sale resident, has seen the town transformed with new wild garden spaces, refreshed planters and creative artwork from local schools. Tony expressed his gratitude to Slater Heelis and other local businesses for their support, which played a vital role in the initiative's success.

"This is the first year we’ve organised Sale in Bloom, and we’re thrilled with the response,” he said. "Turning grey spaces green and adding colour has made such a positive impact on the town. We can’t wait to do it again next year!"

The initiative has been a visual celebration of community spirit, engaging residents and businesses alike. As Sale Town in Bloom heads into autumn, there’s already anticipation for an even bigger event in 2025.
