The Post Office runs under the stewardship of Postmaster Sid Patel, whose journey with the Post Office began long before he officially took the helm, having managed a branch on the other side of the then-precinct. His dedication and passion led him to apply for the postmaster position when the opportunity arose, and since August 2014, he has been the proud postmaster of the Sale Post Office.

The relocation to its current, more spacious unit was made possible by supportive landlords and it marked a new chapter for the post office. Over the past ten years, Sid and his team have seen the post office grow and thrive, becoming an integral part of the Sale community.

Beyond basic postal services, Sale Post Office offers a range of additional services that include passport services and driving licence renewals, which are not available at all post offices. The full on-demand Bureau de Change is another highlight, offering most currencies on-site and ensuring that even special orders are delivered promptly, aiding customers with their travel plans.

Reflecting on the journey and expressing gratitude, Sid shared a heartfelt message on social media, saying:

“To all the wonderful people of Sale and beyond,

The team at Sale Post Office would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for allowing us to serve you over the past decade. Since our journey began on 7th August 2014, every moment spent with you in Sale has been a true pleasure.

Your kindness, trust, and unwavering support mean the world to us. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this community, and we remain fully committed to providing you with exceptional service for as long as we are here.”

As Sale Post Office marks this significant anniversary, it stands as a testament to the power of community and the enduring relationships built over the years. Here’s to many more years of service, connection, and growth in the heart of Sale.”
