Cheers to a year! Pray Tell celebrates first anniversary in Sale

A year ago, Pray Tell in Stanley Square opened its doors with the promise of becoming "a nice place for good drinks." We think you’ll agree that it has delivered on that promise!

Celebrating its first anniversary this Sunday (04 August) as one of the best independent bars in town, Pray Tell quickly became a staple in M33. Known for its diverse selection of craft beers, natural wines and expertly mixed cocktails, the bar has carved out a niche in the local drinking scene. Regular events including quiz nights and a weekly 5km running club (followed by well-earned drinks, of course) have solidified Pray Tell as more than just a bar – it's a community hangout.

Ahead of the opening in 2023, owners Beth Ellison and Paul Rooney launched a crowdfunder to allow them to create a larger space for punters to enjoy. The funds raised from the public crowdfunder exceeded £6,000, allowing for significant renovations to the unit, making it more spacious and welcoming than its previous iteration. The upgraded interior now features more tables and a modern, open layout.

Regulars to Pray Tell will no that the beer selection and cocktail list are regularly updated and  the fridge is always stocked with a variety of bottles and cans, ensuring there's something for everyone.

The Pray Tell are celebrating this Sunday, saying on Instagram, “We'll have the fridge full of celebratory fizz and some party snacks to keep us going until late. We'd love for you to join us!”

If you’re in Sale this weekend, pop into Pray Tell and raise a glass to a year of success – and hopefully many more to come!
