Parade Pharmacy in Sale has recently been refitted

Parade Pharmacy in Sale has installed a new Pharmabox24 machine – an automated prescription-collection system that lets patients pick up their medicines 24/7.

The automated prescription collection point provides patients with the ability to pick up their medicines whenever is most convenient for them.

Patients are notified by SMS text message on the status of their prescription, allowing them to avoid any wasted trips. After receiving a pin number via text, patients are asked to enter the number into the touchscreen, before collecting their prescription.

The pharmacy on North Parade in Sale has recently undergone a complete refit and has launched an app that allows customers to order their prescription, check its progress and even shop for some over-the-counter necessities. 

It is thought that the 24-hour prescription service will free up more time to deliver face-to-face patient care and will alleviate the need for in-branch queuing, freeing up more pharmacy resources to offer efficient community care.

The dispenser is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week – even during weekends and bank holidays, so medication can reach patients when they need it most.
