The ‘BeeUtiful’ event will take place on Sunday 12 February at the Castlefield Rooms in Manchester city centre.

The BeeU campaign was set up by Sofia Management and casting agent Rachel Spencer started the workshops in schools to raise awareness after hearing some of her own young clients had suffered at the hands of bullies.

Rachel said, “I wanted to help children and adults deal with bullying but also for them to enjoy learning about this issue, so I decided to create a workshop through drama. The workshops include talks, games and role play involving victims and harmers.”

Anna Barker, owner of Flair Boutique UK based in Emporium M33 in Sale, runs fashion shows and events, often to raise money for charity. Liana Frapola is the owner of Northern Lashes, an eco-friendly company providing handmade vegan lash products, with revolutionary eco-friendly packaging. Liana is also passionate about anti-bullying. The two business owners are organising the event with Frodsham based model Saoirse Curran, who was negatively impacted by her experience of bullying during her school years.

Anna said; “I was lucky to showcase Flair at Cheshire Fashion Week in 2020 and Saoirse was one of my models. Her confidence and beauty struck me immediately at the opening night at the Jaguar Showroom in Chester, so it was incredible to have her walk for Flair the next night at Chester Cathedral. When she told me about her experience of being badly bullied, I knew I needed to introduce Saoirse to Liana for an event collaboration and that was the inspiration for February's event.”

The BeeUtiful event, which will run from 2pm to 6pm, will include beauty demos, singing from Rachel Spencer and a fashion show by Flair Boutique UK. Saoirse is one of the models and other people involved in the event have also been impacted by bullying.

Tickets are £20, which includes a welcome drink and goody bag. This is a great cause to support, plus it’s bound to be a fun afternoon!
