"It's not a sad ending": Krafthaus Studio to close in Sale after two years

After more than two years of bringing its own form of creativity to Sale, Krafthaus Studio is set to close its doors.

Krafthaus opened in July 2022.

The announcement was made by owner Holly Ramsay, who confirmed the news on social media, marking the end of an era for the space located on Hope Road, just off Northenden Road.

Krafthaus first opened in July 2022, envisioned as a creative hub, studio and gift shop. Holly used the studio to expand her business and create a space for other local makers. Her plan to stock products from fellow creatives and run workshops for the Sale community seemed poised to add to the town’s growing reputation as a home for independent businesses.

Reflecting on the closure, Holly wrote: “We’re not cut out to be shopkeepers... It’s been a juggle these past few years managing the shop, deliveries and events.”

The announcement also highlighted a positive development – Holly's other brand, The Neighbourhood Threat, will be moving to a new premises soon, allowing her to continue her creative work outside the constraints of managing a shop.

While the studio may be closing, the building it housed is ideally located in the centre of Sale, just opposite the tram stop, with ample potential for a new small business or office space. The closure may mark the end of Krafthaus in its current form, but it could be a fresh beginning for another venture in this creative community.

If you are interested in renting the space, contact Thomas Willmax on 0161 905 3555.
