GMP officers smash into homes and arrest 14 as part of Operation AVRO
Police officers took to the streets this morning across Trafford as part of a huge crackdown on crime.
The first warrant was executed in Sale at 07:23 this morning (24th January).
Doors were rammed and a number of arrests were made in Sale. A total of 14 arrests have been made in the borough so far, as part of the Greater Manchester-wide special Operation AVRO.
Operation Avro sees GMP target a different borough each month.
Chief Superintendent Colette Rose said, “Operation AVRO is in full swing in Trafford. This morning our officers have already executed a number of warrants at various addresses across the borough and people are in custody already.”
GMP will continue with activity across the borough as part of the operation throughout the day.
