Bee a keeper for a day: A hands-on experience day with the honeymakers

There’s a buzz of excitement in the air in Sale as Manchester Honey Company has announced dates for its 2024 beekeeper experience days.

A host of dates have been released for this year, all being held at the Society for Abandoned Animals off Dane Road. 

2024 events take place on:

  • Saturday 04 May

  • Sunday 05 May

  • Saturday 25 May

  • Sunday 26 May

  • Saturday 01 June

  • Saturday 08 June

  • Sunday 09 June

Each experience costs £60pp. 

You will get the chance to learn about:

  • The lifecycle of a honey bee.

  • The workings of a hive and the different type's of bee inside.

  • How honey is produced and how taste varies between location (you'll get chance to try all the honey too!)

  • A chance to hands-on with a colony inspection and see the queen (if you can spot her!)

As each event has a maximum of eight spaces on it, these are bound to be very popular, so if you fancy a day with the bees, secure your spot soon! 🐝
