Woman arrested after 'disturbance' at Northenden Road cafe
A woman has been arrested following a 'disturbance' at a Sale Moor cafe where a child is believed to have been assaulted.
Police are asking witnesses to come forward following the incident at Porta 134 in Sale on Saturday (19 October). The 'disturbance' occurred between 11am and midday when a woman was in the Northenden Road cafe.
According to an appeal issued by Greater Manchester Police on social media yesterday (20 October), it is believed that a child was assaulted. The police have now confirmed that a woman was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and being drunk and disorderly.
In the post on Facebook, GMP Trafford North wrote: "On 19th October 2024 between 11:00hours - 12:00hours a disturbance has taken place at PORTA 134 CAFE, NORTHENDEN ROAD, SALE. During this disturbance it is believed that a child was assaulted.
