“It’s been amazing” - Sale hairdressers celebrate first birthday

A Sale hair salon is marking its first anniversary in business, with owners saying they have had “huge support all round” from the local community since opening.

Timeless Hair Salon opened in May 2022 after salon owners Heather Saunders and Maria Mullins, who both live in Sale, decided to open their own place after years working elsewhere.

We spoke to the pair, who reflected on getting to grips with running their own business for the first time. Heather said: “This first year has been amazing. Hard work too, but we wouldn’t change it. We’ve had loads of support from both longstanding clients and our new clients too.

“The best part has been how rewarding it is working for ourselves, in our own business. Knowing that the hard work is for us, not other people. The fact that we’ve had a good first year given stock price increases and everything else happening has been brilliant!”

The pair are inviting their clients this week to help celebrate their first anniversary with cupcakes and refreshments.

So what’s next for the experienced hair stylists?

Heather said, “We’ll keep pushing to grow the business. Later this week, we’re going to be welcoming Devine Aesthetics, who is renting our beauty room, which we’re excited about.

“We’re also looking for another experienced hairstylist to join us in the salon. We have a chair available to rent on a self-employed basis and we’d love for another hairdresser to join us.”

To book an appointment at Timeless, or if you are interested in hiring a salon chair, call 0161 973 1147 or contact Heather and Maria via Instagram, @timeless_hairsalon.

💭 Thought bubble: Keeping a new business not just open, but thriving, in the current climate is an AMAZING achievement. May this milestone be the first of many more to come for the Timeless team! 👏
