Sale Water Park Charity Dragon Boat Festival hits the water this weekend

Sale Water Park Dragon Boat Festival returns this weekend in support of many charities.

Racing takes place at Trafford Watersports Centre at Sale Water Park from 12-6pm on Sunday (14 May). 

Sale Water Park Charity Dragon Boat Festival will see 40 teams of paddlers racing to be the grand winner. Organised by Charity Dragon Boat Festivals, teams are raising funds for charities including Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT), Seashell, Barnabus and Wood Street Mission. 

MFT has an incredible 18 teams competing and raising important funds to go to all the hospitals they support. 

Manchester Dragon Boat Club train at Sale Water Park

Manchester Dragon Boat Club, based at Sale Water Park, is one of the teams taking part in Sunday’s race and is keen to attract new members to enjoy dragon boating.

Dragon boating is one of the fastest-growing watersports in the world. As a team sport, it targets full-body fitness and mental agility.
