The MFDF will be presented at an event taking place at New Century on Monday 29 January 2024 and today’s shortlist is “a showcase of Manchester’s wonderful, quality, resilient dining scene, highlighting the many excellent food and drink businesses and talented hospitality professionals here in our region.”

A mystery shopping period will now commence alongside the public vote. During this period judges will visit nominated venues for a mystery dining visit and will score venues based on their experiences.

The mystery shopping and public voting period will end on 20 November 2023 when the polls will be counted and combined with the judges’ scores, and the winner of each category will be chosen.

Sale was shortlisted for ‘Foodie Neighbourhood of the Year’ in last year’s awards, but missed out to Stockport. This year’s shortlist also includes neighbouring towns of Altrincham and Stretford.
