Lottery to turn on Sale Moor's Christmas lights

Sale residents have the chance to fill Sale Moor village with Christmas cheer this year by entering a lottery.

As part of their fundraising efforts, We Are Sale Moor CIC has set up a lottery to help raise money for the village's Christmas lights.

People can purchase lottery tickets for £1 each and will be entered in monthly prize draws to win prizes such as a luxury theatre trip, £1,500 cash and a jackpot of £25,000.

The community lottery page says:

"Volunteers from We Are Sale Moor fundraise every year to raise enough money to re-install the Christmas Lights and it's a huge task! Our Sale Moor Village Lottery gives us a sustainable way of raising money throughout the year and takes away the last-minute stress of wondering if enough money will be raised to meet the target.

"Rather than asking the Sale Moor community to donate to the Christmas Lights every year, they now have a chance to win something back as well, which makes it more exciting and spreads the fun throughout the year."

All of the proceeds raised from the lottery will be invested into funding projects to improve the village, including Christmas lights and planters.
