Opening date confirmed for Stanley Square's seafood restaurant, The Oystercatcher
The Oystercatcher, a popular seafood restaurant known for its fresh, seasonal fish dishes cooked over coals, has confirmed it will open in Stanley Square on Tuesday 24 October.
Co-owned by Duncan Ranyard and Recep Canliisik, the neighbourhood eatery opened its OG restaurant of the same name in Chorlton in 2018, promising a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere and a simple, inspired fish menu. And on both those things, they have since delivered - and more.
The restaurant aims to showcase sea dishes and introduce customers to fish dishes that they might not have never tried before. Expect oysters (obviously) and a lot of coal-based cooking.
Due to the nature of the food, menus change regularly, depending on what is both fresh and seasonal.
Duncan Ranyard has previously said of the expansion into Sale: “Our restaurant in Chorlton has proved very popular over the last five years, with lots of guests travelling from Sale and further afield to dine with us.
“We have loved sharing our offering with the people of Chorlton and when we were asked to become part of the exciting new development in Stanley Square we jumped at the chance.”
