Sale businesses encouraged to ‘paint the town pink’ for Prevent Breast Cancer

Dates for this year’s Paint Sale Pink (2024) initiative have been announced.

The two-week event will launch on Saturday 04 May in Stanley Square, kickstarting two weeks of fundraising activities across M33.

Last year’s Paint Sale Pink campaign raised over £6,000 for Prevent Breast Cancer, with the town taken over by pink products, promotions and events.

Paint Sale and AOM Pink campaign volunteers are looking for Sale, M33 businesses, schools, churches and local community members to get involved to help raise as much awareness as possible for Prevent Breast Cancer and much-needed funds for this charitable cause.

How can YOU get involved?

Local businesses, schools and the wider community can get involved with fundraising in a variety of ways, including a raffle, a quiz night, live music, afternoon tea or simply decorating their window displays pink, staff wearing pink tutus or putting up pink balloons.

Prevent Breast Cancer is the only charity solely committed to predicting and preventing breast cancer. Based at the Nightingale Centre at nearby Wythenshawe Hospital, it is the only breast cancer prevention clinic in the UK.

Many local residents have benefitted from the amazing work being done by Prevent Breast Cancer and as a charity that relies solely on donations to carry out vital research projects, campaign volunteers are keen to raise funds to support this cause.
