Neighbourhood Gallery has announced it will close its Stanley Square-based pop-up on 03 March, a month earlier than originally planned.

The team made the announcement on social media, saying:

“As you may know, Neighbourhood Gallery here in Sale was a 6-month pop-up from October - end of March, but it is with a heavy heart that we will be closing the gallery one month early. We'll be hosting a closing down party on Sunday 3rd March, after our 'Inspired by Manchester' exhibition to say goodbye.

“We've had such an amazing run at our Sale location hosting so many incredible exhibitions, workshops and meeting some wonderful people. However, with a change of circumstances and for the benefit of our family, we will be moving out of the Manchester area, which is why we will be saying goodbye to Neighbourhood Gallery here in Sale.

“We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved. Thank you so much for your support so far!”

Neighbourhood Gallery announced its arrival in M33 in September 2023, and has since hosted two exhibitions, ‘Figurative Forms’ and ‘Abstraction’, both of which have been brilliant additions to Sale’s creative arts scene. The gallery will host ‘Inspired By Manchester’, its final exhibition at its Sale pop-up, from 09 February to 02 March.

The gallery is also hosting a special closing party on Sunday 03 March, 10am-4pm to both celebrate their time in Sale and to host a discounted sale on a “whole range of art materials, furniture, accessories and more”.
