Although nothing has been officially confirmed yet, a spokesperson for the company shared their excitement about the potential expansion, saying “We are in advanced negotiations on a site in Sale – it’s a great area and we are hopeful to join the local community by opening a Lounge and creating between 30-40 new jobs.

"Nothing is totally confirmed yet, however, for every Lounge we open, it’s important to us that we give back to the community – we partner with local charities, our spaces are used for meetings of local groups and businesses, and we encourage customers to use us as a community hub.

We hope to have more info on the site in Sale soon.”

Loungers, which now boasts over 200 sites across the UK, is known for its informal and homey atmosphere. The brand has experienced rapid growth in recent years, with plans to expand to 600 venues. In 2023, the company posted record-breaking results with a revenue of £283.5 million.

Local residents may already be familiar with Loungers' existing Trafford-area venues - Bevano Lounge in Urmston and Oppio Lounge in Altrincham - which offer all-day dining.

The new café-bar is likely to occupy the unit that will become available following the closure of Mano a Bocca later this month, after nearly five years being in Sale.

Further details regarding the potential Lounge opening and its location are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
