Places to keep the kids entertained in Sale
Whether you are looking for activities during the school holidays, at the weekends or simply on a drizzly Tuesday morning when you just can’t face another trip to the park, we’ve pulled together a selection of the best places to go in Sale with young children.
Bean & Brush Art Cafe
Previously on Hayfield Street and now at its new home in Stanley Square, Bean & Brush Art Cafe is a longstanding favourite for parents and their children. It’s a great cafe for a spot of lunch and some pot painting for the kids.
The cafe offers a selection of craft activities for children of different ages and is also an excellent place for hosting catered children’s parties.
📍 Bean & Brush, 51-52 Stanley Square, Sale M33 7XZ | Open daily, 9am-5pm
Let Loose Stanley Square
Let Loose Sale opened in 2023 and children can enjoy a play frame, drop slide, ball pool, toddler area, mini arcade, kids parties and laser battles – not to mention a café for parents to get their caffeine fix!

Minikin Paint a Pot Art Cafe
Minikin has been open in Sale for well over a decade and is a hub of pottery painting for all ages. Enjoy its creative environment whether you’re child is seven or 47, simply pick your piece of pottery and go wild with the paint! You can leave your pottery with the friendly team at Minikin, who will fire it in their dedicated kiln.
Minikin also serves food and drinks from ‘The Hatch’, including tea, coffee, milkshakes, waffles and delicious crepes.
📍 Minikin, 57 Cross Street, Sale M33 7HF | Open Tuesday - Saturday 10am-5pm
Walton Park Miniature Railway
Walton Park has a fully-functioning miniature railway running about a quarter of a mile long. Run by Sale Area Model Engineering Society (SAMES), it is popular with kids (and, let’s be honest, adults) of all ages. 🚂
