Stanley Square and Everything4 to host bank holiday weekend of entertainment and family fun

The Family Bank Holiday Weekender promises to be three days of activities and entertainment for all the family and the local community.

Sale’s Stanley Square will be hosting a weekend of entertainment to mark the August bank holiday, with many of the family-friendly activities completely free.  

Organised by children’s party venue Everything4, a series of activities are set to take place on Saturday 26, Sunday 27 and Monday 28 August, including circus skills training, character meet and greets and craft workshops.

They will be entertainment for the grown-ups too, with DJ sessions from Stutter and Twitch and a Manchester Pride celebration at Canteena

Saturday 26 August 

🪄 Make your own wand craft workshop 
10.30am-3pm
FREE (must reserve ticket)

Children can choose to make either a star or Harry Potter wand – sessions are free, but every child needs a ticket. These crafty spots are limited, so reserve your ticket now

🎀 Barbie in the Square
12-1pm
FREE

A very special guest joins the fun with a meet and greet with Barbie. Kids (and their grown-ups if they wish!) can have their photos taken with Barbie.

✨ Glitter station
10.30am-3pm
FREE

They are fun, they are sparkly and everyone looks better with a touch of glitter. Plus, you won't have to clean up the mess it usually leaves behind!

Note: The glitter station is open across the bank holiday weekend, from Saturday-Monday.

🪩 Disco drop-in
10.30am-3pm
FREE

Everything4 is hosting a disco throughout the day, pop in and dance to your favourite tunes.

Throughout the day there will also be a chance to play a range of games in the Square.

Sunday 27 August 

🎪 Circus skills training
FREE (must reserve place)

Everything4 presents free circus skills training sessions, giving kids the opportunity to try skills such as juggling, plate spinning, feather balancing and tight rope training.

Sessions run throughout the day – they are free but you do require a ticket to enter. Reserve your free ticket now.

Plus, a games tent throughout the day.

🎧 Silent disco

FREE

Enjoy a silent disco throughout the day, located near Stutter & Twitch.

🏳️‍🌈 Manchester Pride celebration 

🏳️‍⚧️ Canteena Bar & Grill will play host to a special Manchester Pride celebration on Sunday from 4pm. 


Monday 28 August 

🕸️ Spiderman in the Square
11am-12pm
FREE

A very special guest joins the fun with a meet and greet with Spiderman. Have a photo taken with this popular superhero!

Super Dancing from Cadmans
1-1.30pm

Local dance school Cadmans will keep you entertained with a selection of dance routines.

10am-4pm

🫧 Entertainment from The Little Carnival Company. Expect a DJ, balloon twisting, giant bubbles and stilt walking.

Throughout the day

Local business My Hair of Dreams will be on hand to create dreamy hairstyles
