Slater Heelis to celebrate 250th anniversary with new HQ at Crossgate House, Sale
The law firm Slater Heelis is to take the whole 11,688 sq ft first floor at Crossgate House on Cross Street in Sale, consolidating its local offices into the Orbit building.
Slater Heelis has agreed terms for a 10-year period at Crossgate House and plans to move in spring 2023, a year that marks the firm’s 250th anniversary.
Currently, the firm works from the Lloyds Bank building on School Road in Sale, from Stockport Road Timperley and from 86 Deansgate in Manchester city centre, as well as two addresses on Washway Road in Sale. Each of the Sale locations will close on the Crossgate move.
The firm said that Crossgate House met the requirements of its search for a new headquarters: a single-floor, grade A building in the town centre. The property occupies a prominent location on the A56, a four-minute walk from Metrolink.
Dean Richards, leasing director at Orbit Developments, said: “We are delighted to have been able to provide Slater Heelis, which is such an established and respected business, with a property that fell in line with its workplace aspirations and will become its sole premises in Sale.”
Chris Bishop, managing partnership at Slater Heelis said: “Sale has been home to our head office for over 100 years and during that time we’ve established strong roots within the community, so it was important for us to find new office space within the town. Crossgate House is the perfect fit.
“It supports our environmental commitments, providing a more energy-efficient space with plenty of bike storage and easy access to nearby public transport links.”
