Touchwood Designs to close: last chance to grab a vintage bargain

Touchwood Designs, Sale’s vintage and pre-loved furniture warehouse, has announced its closure. Its final day of trading will be Thursday 09 January 2025.

Owner Vicky Mulligan shared the news on social media, expressing her sadness at having to shut the business down. Despite a heartfelt plea earlier this year for community support, the challenges of low footfall and the impending redevelopment of the building have made continuing unviable.

Touchwood Designs is offering discounts across its collection of vintage, retro and pre-loved furniture, with all stock needing to go before the closure. Shoppers are encouraged to make offers on items, with plenty of unique pieces still available to add charm to any home.

While the closure marks the end of this chapter, Vicky’s boldness in opening Touchwood Designs last year deserves to be celebrated. The warehouse has been a treasure trove of unique finds and a creative space for furniture upcycling, repair and upholstery, offering something distinctive to the Sale shopping scene.

So don’t miss this chance to support a small business one last time and find something special for your home or garden.
