The partnership will include sponsorship of rugby veteran Dom Barrow (pictured above). This comes at a great time as Sale Sharks are performing consistently well and are currently placed second in the league.

The private hospital based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, will be on hand to support the club with fast expert diagnostic and imaging services, alongside surgical and physiotherapy support should any of the squad become injured.

Commenting on the partnership, Andrew Thornton, executive director of The Alexandra Hospital, said:

“It is great to partner with Sale Sharks again, as we have enjoyed a successful relationship with the club over many years.  We are well situated to help support the needs of the club and its players and they have regularly used our private walk-in centre to get urgent diagnoses and treatments from the hospital, giving the club access to time-critical treatment.”

Imran Ahmed, the club doctor at Sale Sharks said “At Sale Sharks, the medical department has had a long and successful partnership with The Alexandra Hospital.

“The hospital staff have always been helpful in supporting our needs in elite sport, and we have found its consultants to be both vastly experienced and professional in all areas.

“We are delighted that our partnership will continue further and thoroughly look forward to working together moving forward.”
