Sale’s Waterside “shakes up” music offering to attract live music lovers

Waterside has some exciting new additions to the existing music programme, which have been specially curated to entice live music lovers, gig goers and aficionados to the venue.

The popular creative venue, which welcomes over 100,000 visitors per year, said in a statement that they have “shaken things up a bit with this new music offering and have something to suit all tastes.”

It goes on to say that “Waterside is rightfully earning a fantastic reputation for a great night out for live music, socialising and happy vibes.”

The Coral: The Making of the Debut Album

  • 🗓️ Sunday 24 March from 7.30pm

The Coral are celebrating the 21st anniversary of their eponymous debut album. The record was described by NME as being the funniest and most refreshing British debut in years. In this intimate evening, singer and songwriter James Skelly will be joined by keyboardist Nick Power for an evening of conversation, audience questions and acoustic songs.

Track Dogs

Track Dogs are four international “madrileños” – two Irishmen, an Englishman and an American. Based in Spain, the band name comes from the dark subterranean world of New York’s subway system.

 They are a dynamic joyous fusion of folk, Latino, Americana and bluegrass played on multiple acoustic instruments, overlaid with four-part vocal harmonies.

Sound of the Sirens is a singer-songwriting duo comprising Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood.  They have cemented themselves as firm favourites as “one of the UK’s finest folk acts”.

The pair’s musical and vocal dexterity dovetail beautifully on the co-written songs, which range from emotive ballads to upbeat foot-stomping anthems.


The Apex Singers

The Apex Singers are an 8-part vocal ensemble renowned for their innovative arrangements and distinctive sound. With over 50 bespoke arrangements, their repertoire showcases the individual voices within the group, creating a truly unique and captivating musical experience.

A pre-show scratch Capella singing workshop (1hr 30 min) will be open to people with any singing ability.  Participants will then have the opportunity to perform showcasing the skills and harmonies learned during the workshop.
