New over 50s community choir set to launch in Sale

A new over-50s community choir is set to launch in Sale next week. 

The Sale Daytime Singers - Over 50s Community Choir

Starting on Thursday 15 June at St Mary’s Church in Sale, ‘The Sale Daytime Singers’ will be led by musician and singer John Blaylock. 

He said, “Singing makes you feel good, singing with other people makes you feel even better. 

“We’re not trying to win any choral competitions we just want to bring people together and have fun."

The Sale Daytime Singers choir will sing songs from the 1960s-1990s, with some musical theatre favourites too. Absolutely no experience is necessary, choir members do not need to audition or sight read. It is an opportunity for people to come together, have fun and meet new people. 

  • The Sale Daytime Singers choir runs every Thursday from 15 June, 1.45-3.15pm.

  • £5 per session (no sign-up required) and includes refreshments and a lyric book.
