In an emotional post on Instagram, bakery owner Louise Jones explained her reasons for closing the bakery on Cross Street:

“2023 has already brought change for us! With the huge increases to stock/bills/petrol etc that we have been battling over the past 12 months and the prospect of our business energy bill tripling in March, unfortunately the time has come to say goodbye to our little pink bakery in Sale 😢

“To see it go after 13 years and already having survived so much in that time..I’m absolutely heartbroken 💔

“But, we put our big girl positive pants on and we move forward..this isn’t the end for Jellytots (we hope!) 🌟

“Once we have officially left the bakery this coming weekend, we will be trying our hardest to get back up and running elsewhere and get out delivery service going again for the beginning of February. Where there’s a will there’s a way 🤞🏻

“Keep your eyes peeled for updates..we can’t wait to get back to baking for you all again, very soon🧁”

Although the bakery will close its doors this coming weekend, Louise and her supporters hope that this isn’t the end for Jellytots & Dollymixtures.

Good luck to the team in the future and thank you for all the delicious sweet treats over the years!
