Independent bookshop opens in Brooklands this weekend
An independent bookshop is opening in Sale tomorrow (Saturday 01 March), bringing a welcoming space for book lovers of all ages to browse, read and have a brew.
B For Butterfly Books, owned by Michelle Crosby, is located on Brooklands Road and offers a handpicked selection of fiction and non-fiction for both adults and children. The shop also serves hot drinks, with a cosy seating area towards the rear, making it an inviting spot to enjoy a book with a cup of tea or coffee.
This marks an exciting new chapter for Michelle, whose bookshop was previously based inside Emporium M33 in Sale town centre. The new, larger space allows her to expand beyond retail, hosting author events and her book club for the local community.
A standout feature of the shop is the towering willow tree in the children’s section (pictured below), created by local artisan Des Gillan, owner of Willow Goat Crafts. The handcrafted tree will surely capture young visitors' imagination and become a talking point for customers.
B For Butterfly Books opens on Saturday morning from 10am and Michelle is looking forward to welcoming the local community to explore the shelves, relax with a book and take part in future events.
