Cork of the North announced as finalist in prestigious wine industry awards

Sale's favourite wine bar and shop has been announced as a finalist in this year's UK wine industry awards.

It has been nominated for the IWC's 'Northern Retailer of the Year' award.

Announcing the news on social media, the Cork of the North team said:

"Wow! It’s incredible that our Manchester-based family-run business has been recognised by the International Wine Challenge. The IWC Industry Awards are the top awards in the wine trade and for the IWC to place us in the final is an absolute honour, and we are bowled over to have been recognised at this level.

"The IWC judging panel is consisted [sic] of a team of leading UK industry experts, and they look into all areas of our business - not just our wine selection, but how we trade, how we interact with our customers, and how we train our staff."

The winners of IWC 2023 Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on 04 July – wish the Cork of the North team luck! 🤞
