Bee Moor WI seeks new members across Sale

Bee Moor Women’s Institute (WI) in Sale is looking for new members to join their friendly and active group.

Bee Moor WI

Based at Templemoor Infant and Nursery School, the group has been running since 2017 and offers a welcoming space for women of mixed ages and backgrounds to come together, learn new skills, support charities and – of course – enjoy some cake!

Meeting one evening a month, Bee Moor WI has hosted a wide range of activities, from line-dancing and pickling demonstrations (complete with tastings) to willow craft and fitness sessions. Alongside the main events, there are book clubs and groups for walking, knitting, crocheting and afternoon tea, ensuring there's something for everyone.

The group is also part of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes, meaning members have the chance to get involved in important nationwide campaigns on issues such as equal pay, clean rivers and dental health.

Bee Moor WI member Maureen Haddock encourages anyone curious about the WI to give it a try, saying "If you have never been to a WI meeting, you may just be surprised by how it has changed and developed over the years!"

Newcomers are welcome to attend a meeting for free to see if it’s the right fit for them. There’s no need to worry about attending alone, as new members are always greeted at the door and introduced to some friendly faces.

Interested in joining Bee Moor WI? Email beemoorwisale@yahoo.com for more information.

If you're looking to try new hobbies, meet new people or support causes that matter, Bee Moor WI may be the perfect community for you!
