Ouvra's Deli: The hottest new breakfast spot in Sale, M33
Ouvra's Deli on Cross Street in Sale has expanded its menu, now offering breakfast alongside its already popular lunch selection.
Located next door to its sister restaurant, Ouvra Indian Kitchen, the deli has added something special to the morning dining options in M33.
Owner Priya Madda, who also runs Ouvra Indian Kitchen, invited Life in Sale to sample the new breakfast menu and we were not disappointed.
"Things have been going well with both the Indian Kitchen and the deli," Priya told us.
"We've had such positive feedback from the community and I’ve been keen to expand what we offer. Breakfast felt like the natural next step."
Ouvra’s breakfast menu is a delicious blend of traditional English favourites and vibrant Indian morning dishes. For those who enjoy a classic start to the day, there are full English breakfasts (£10.90), avocado on toast (£6.20), eggs Benedict (£5.90), eggs Royale (£4.99) and fluffy pancakes (£3.80).
But the real standout is the selection of Indian breakfasts. We sampled a range of Indian delights, including Poori (£5.20), a deep-fried bread that pairs perfectly with rich, aromatic curries. One of the highlights was the chole bhature (£5.80), a spicy chickpea curry served with fried bread – packed with flavour and a real must-try. The menu also features paratha (flaky flatbreads), idli (steamed savoury rice cakes) and vada, all complemented by a selection of chutneys and sauces. A fellow diner opted for the masala omelette, infused with fragrant spices, which is definitely on our list for the next visit!
Diners can enjoy their breakfast in the modern deli, which offers five tables for those who prefer to eat in. With its welcoming atmosphere, it's a great spot to start the day. However, given its prime location, Ouvra’s breakfast is also expected to be a popular takeaway choice, with many local residents and nearby businesses likely to take advantage of the new morning offering.
With this exciting breakfast addition, Ouvra’s Deli is set to become a go-to spot for both traditional brunch lovers and those looking for something away from the ‘usual’ breakfast fare.
