Neighbourhood Gallery’s latest exhibition to launch in Sale
Neighbourhood Gallery in Stanley Square has announced its second exhibition, ‘Figurative Forms.’
‘Figurative Forms’ is an open-call exhibition that will display a wide range of artworks from artists all across Manchester and the north west. The gallery has curated a mix of mediums, from paintings and prints to sculptures and more, all within the theme.
Tate Glossary defines figurate art as ‘any form of modern art that retains strong references to the real world and particularly to the human figure.’ And Neighbourhood Gallery hopes this exhibition pushes the boundary of what figurative art can be. It will showcase works that explore the human form in many ways such as life drawings, sculptures of the human figure, painted portraitures and abstract depictions of the body – in fact, anything and everything that is of or explores figurative forms!
The exhibition will be held at the Neighbourhood Gallery Pop Up in Sale’s Stanley Square. The exhibition launches on Thursday 16 November with a private open evening and it is open to the public from Friday 17 November. The exhibition will run until Saturday 23 December 2023.
Neighbourhood Gallery is open Wednesday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm.
