Bloom Hair Company: A look inside Sale’s new hair salon

Bloom Hair Company, a new hair salon in M33, opened its doors on Cross Street in late January this year. We went to have a look around and give you a glimpse inside.

The salon is owned by Codey Burke and Katrina Lord (pictured centre and right below, with salon apprentice Lauren on the left), who both previously worked at another Sale salon before deciding to invest in their own business.

So why Sale? 

“It was the obvious choice for us,” said Codey. “Many of our clients are based in Sale and we didn’t want to potentially lose those customers or those relationships if we’d gone somewhere else.”

What to expect

“Both Katrina and I are big on our colours – they are our favourite thing to do,” said Codey. “If anybody is ever disappointed in a colour that they have done themselves at home, or perhaps at another salon, we’re here to turn it around into something they love.” 

Enveloped by cute pale pink walls, the atmosphere at Bloom is relaxed, airy and friendly. The team is keen to prioritise its long-established customer relationships and new clients will be treated to a thorough consultation before their hair undergoes any changes. 

“We have lots of good relationships with clients we have had for years now. It’s important for us to provide a personalised service for every client who comes through our doors. We don’t sit them down and rush through our appointments, that’s for sure!”, said Katrina.

Customers can take advantage of late-night closing on Thursday evenings and also ‘Prosecco Saturdays’, which sounds like our sort of hair appointment! 

The salon is also home to Mitch B Barbering, who is available for full-service barbering including skin fades and beard trims.
