Little Belters: Discover the joy of singing
Are you looking for a fun, high-energy and inclusive singing group for your child? Look no further than Little Belters! This unique choir experience, founded by opera-singing sisters Claire and Tina O’Brien, is changing the way children and women think about choir singing.
Why choose Little Belters?
Little Belters is far from your ‘traditional’ choir. It’s a vibrant, dynamic community where children and women can come together to learn proper singing techniques while having a blast. Tina O’Brien, co-founder, shares: “We involve drama, fast-paced activities and professional singers to teach songs that children and parents love. Our lessons are so varied that they keep everyone engaged and excited.”
Little Belters have been featured on CBeebies, bringing their unique approach to a wider audience and proving that singing can be a fun, inclusive and confidence-boosting activity for children from as young as four years old.
Building confidence and making friends
One of the standout benefits of joining Little Belters is the boost in confidence and social skills that members gain. Tina explains; “The children grow in confidence, make friends across different age groups and learn valuable communication skills. Singing in a choir teaches them to work as a team, listen and express themselves clearly.”
Free taster session – no auditions needed
To ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of singing, Little Belters offers a free taster session with no auditions required. “We want to make singing accessible to everyone,” says Tina. “Parents and guardians can simply sign their child up for a free session and see how much fun their children have.”
Little Belters in Sale
Little Belters proudly offers a choir in Sale, which currently rehearses Mondays 4.45pm-5.45pm (term time only) at Sale Sports Club.
This local choir provides an excellent opportunity for children in Sale to join the Little Belters family and experience the joy of singing close to home. If you live outside of Sale, Little Belters also has choirs in Altrincham and Chorlton.
Not just for the kids!
While Little Belters focuses on children, they also bring together ‘Absolute Belters’, women’s choirs in Altrincham and Chorlton. These groups provide a fantastic opportunity for women to re-discover their love for singing, build new friendships and perform in exciting concerts.
